Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with reservations or general questions
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and timely seating
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Assist with guest needs, including providing menus, answering questions about the menu, and accommodating special requests
- Handle guest check-ins and manage waitlists during busy periods to optimize seating efficiency
Qualifications
- Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally
- Ability to multitask effectively in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Food service experience or restaurant experience is a plus, especially in high-volume settings
- Hotel or hospitality industry background is advantageous but not required
