Job Title: Housekeeper – Healthcare (Retirement Home / LTC / Hospital)

Pay: $18–$21 per hour (based on experience)

Overview:

We are hiring an experienced Healthcare Housekeeper to join our team in Georgetown, ON. The ideal candidate will have previous housekeeping experience in a retirement home, long-term care (LTC) facility, or hospital and understands proper sanitation and infection control standards in healthcare environments.

This role is important in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

- Clean and disinfect resident/patient rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Perform routine and deep cleaning according to healthcare sanitation standards
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures
- Handle laundry and linen services if required
- Safely dispose of waste, recycling, and biohazard materials according to protocols
- Restock cleaning supplies and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Follow all workplace health and safety guidelines

Requirements:





- Previous housekeeping experience in a retirement home, long-term care facility, or hospital (required)
- Knowledge of infection control and healthcare cleaning procedures
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with seniors or in healthcare environments
- Familiarity with hospital-grade disinfectants and cleaning equipment
