Job Summary

Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham, North Bay is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain guest rooms and hotel areas in a clean, safe and presentable condition. The Housekeeper is responsible for preparing rooms for arriving guests and maintaining established hotel cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Clean and prepare assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards.

- Make beds and replace bed linens, pillowcases and towels as required.

- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, toilets, sinks, showers, bathtubs and fixtures.

- Vacuum carpets and sweep and mop floors.

- Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, mirrors and other guest-room surfaces.

- Replenish toiletries, towels, coffee supplies and other guest amenities.

- Remove garbage and dispose of waste according to hotel procedures.

- Check rooms for damaged, missing or malfunctioning items and report concerns to the supervisor or maintenance department.

- Report maintenance problems and potential safety hazards promptly.

- Report and properly handle lost-and-found items according to hotel procedures.

- Maintain housekeeping carts, linen areas and cleaning supplies in a clean and organized condition.





- Monitor housekeeping supplies and notify the supervisor when additional supplies are required.

- Clean hallways, common areas and other assigned hotel areas when required.

- Communicate completed room status and rooms requiring additional attention to the housekeeping supervisor or front desk.

- Follow hotel procedures for cleaning chemicals, equipment and workplace safety.

- Respond professionally to reasonable guest requests while performing housekeeping duties.

- Assist other housekeeping team members when necessary to complete daily room assignments.

Qualifications

- Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience is an asset.

- Robust attention to cleanliness and detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures.

- Dependable, punctual and organized.

- Ability to perform physical housekeeping duties, including standing, walking, bending, reaching and handling housekeeping supplies and equipment.

- Ability to work mornings, weekends and holidays according to hotel occupancy and operational requirements.

Pay: $17.60 per hour
