Position Details The Housing Student Mail Clerk is responsible for the accurate receiving, sorting, and distribution of resident mail and parcel deliveries. This position supports effective communication within the Housing community by maintaining bulletin boards, posting approved notices and promotional materials, and assisting with general residence administrative tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, and distribute resident mail and packages accurately and confidentially.
- Notify residents of package deliveries in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized mailroom and package storage areas.
- Update residence bulletin boards with current information, notices, and event promotions.
- Post and remove approved posters and signage throughout residence facilities.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to residents, staff, and visitors.
- Assist with other administrative and operational duties as assigned by Housing Services.
The successful applicant will arrange work hours in consultation with the Housing Associate Director of Admin and Building Operations. Training will be provided, and a detailed will be available to the successful candidate.
Starting wage:
- $18.80 per hour.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when handling mail and packages.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to provide friendly, professional customer service to residents and staff.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative while following established procedures.
- Demonstrated reliability, responsibility, and punctuality.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling resident information.
- Basic computer proficiency, including email and web-based applications.
- Ability to safely lift and move mail and parcels as required.
- Current University of Lethbridge student, preferably residing in Housing.
