The Opportunity The Human Resources Generalist will support and manage day-to-day HR operations across the organization, providing support to employees and leadership in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, policy development, health & safety, and workplace culture. This role is ideal for an HR qualified who is organized, approachable, and comfortable working directly with both frontline trades employees and leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR activities and provide support to employees and leadership on a range of HR matters.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including creating job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and supporting hiring decisions.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring required documentation, training, and company information are completed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Support employee relations by responding to employee questions, addressing workplace concerns, and escalating more complex matters when appropriate.
- Develop, maintain, and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook content.
- Support health & safety initiatives, training coordination, documentation, and employee communications.
- Assist with performance management, attendance, time-off requests, and other employee lifecycle processes.
- Assist with offboarding processes, including required documentation and Records of Employment.
- Provide HR administrative support to leadership and assist with maintaining consistent HR practices across the organization.
- Ensure HR practices and documentation are handled professionally, consistently, and with a high level of confidentiality.
Qualifications & Skills
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources or a related role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of HR practices, employee relations, recruitment, and HR administration.
- Strong professionalism, discretion, and ethical judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Pay: $52,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
