Role Description The Independent Travel Advisor role is a remote position focused on providing personalized travel planning and advisory services to clients. On a day-to-day basis, the advisor consults with clients to understand their preferences and requirements, researches destinations and travel options, and designs custom itineraries that align with client budgets and timelines.

The role includes managing bookings for flights, accommodations, transportation, tours, and activities, as well as securing special offers and upgrades when available. The advisor responds to client inquiries, offers expert recommendations, and provides ongoing support before, during, and after travel, including handling changes or issues that arise. This position also involves maintaining robust client relationships, using online tools and travel platforms, and proactively identifying new travel opportunities and packages that match client interests.

Qualifications

- Mandatory: TICO Certification.
- Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service,



with the ability to build long-term client relationships.
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, for advising clients, presenting options, and resolving issues clearly and professionally.
- Experience with Travel Arrangements, such as booking flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities through online and agency systems.
- Background in a Travel Agency or similar environment, with knowledge of destinations, travel products, and industry practices.
- Proficiency with digital tools, reservation platforms, and CRM systems; strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, handle multiple client requests, and adapt to changing travel conditions.
- Previous experience in travel advising, hospitality, or tourism is an asset; relevant certifications or training in travel and tourism are beneficial.
