Industrial Sewing Machine Operator / Serger The Original Bug Shirt Company is looking for an experienced Industrial Sewing Machine Operator / Serger to join our production team in Powassan, Ontario.

We manufacture high-quality, Canadian-made chemical free protective bug clothing and are looking for someone with strong sewing skills who enjoys working in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

- Operate industrial sewing machines and sergers to assemble garments
- Sew accurately and efficiently while maintaining consistent quality
- Follow patterns, production instructions, and garment specifications
- Inspect finished work for quality and make adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Meet daily production goals and deadlines
- Work as part of a small, hardworking production team

Qualifications
- Previous sewing experience is required
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines and/or sergers
- Garment or production sewing experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production workplace

Sewing Machine Experience Experience with one or more of the following is an asset:
- Industrial single-needle straight-stitch machine
- Industrial five-thread serger
- Industrial four-thread serger




- Double-needle machine
- Buttonhole or button-sewing machine
- Domestic straight-stitch sewing machine

Training will be provided on our specific equipment, products, sewing techniques, and production methods. Applicants must have a solid foundation in sewing and be comfortable operating sewing equipment. Experience & Education

- At least one year of domestic or commercial sewing experience is preferred
- Experience sewing complete garments is an asset
- Applicants with strong domestic sewing skills are encouraged to apply
- No degree, certificate, or diploma is required
