Role Description This is a full time, on-site Information Technology Consultant role based in Toronto, ON.

The Information Technology

Consultant will assess customer technology environments, identify requirements, and recommend appropriate network and IT solutions aligned with Cogent’s services. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering technical support and guidance, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with internal teams to implement and optimize solutions. The role involves analyzing performance and security needs, documenting configurations, and translating complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for customers.



The consultant will also participate in continuous improvement efforts and stay current with industry trends and Cogent’s evolving product portfolio.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Information Technology, including networking fundamentals and enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience in IT Consulting and Consulting, with the ability to understand business requirements and design appropriate technical solutions.
- Proficient Analytical Skills for problem-solving, performance assessment, and data-driven decision-making.
- Hands-on Technical Support experience, including troubleshooting, incident resolution, and customer-facing assistance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build long-term customer relationships.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, ITIL) or equivalent practical experience are beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or comparable professional experience.
