About the Role

We are hiring for an Inventory Handler to support the flow of materials throughout our manufacturing operations, from incoming receipts through production and ultimately to outgoing customer shipments.

The Inventory Handler plays an significant role in ensuring that the materials required for production are available, accurately recorded, organized, and ready when needed. This position is responsible for receiving and verifying incoming materials, picking and organizing materials for work orders, customer orders, and routers, completing inventory transactions and adjustments within the ERP system, and preparing finished goods for shipment.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with inventory systems, and enjoys working in a hands-on manufacturing environment where accuracy and teamwork are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

Inventory & Material Handling

- Pick and organize materials required for work orders, customer orders, routers, and each stage of production
- Maintain awareness of customer order and production timelines to help ensure required materials are available when needed
- Organize and stage materials to support an efficient flow through production
- Ensure materials are properly identified, stored, and handled
- Support the movement of materials throughout the facility as required
- Complete daily back-order sheets and follow up on outstanding material requirements

Receiving & Quality Verification

- Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase orders and supporting documentation
- Inspect received goods for quantity, condition, and obvious quality concerns
- Compare received materials against what was ordered and identify discrepancies as they occur
- Accurately document incoming shipments and receiving information
- Escalate shortages, damaged materials, incorrect items,



and other discrepancies to the appropriate team members

Inventory Control & ERP Transactions

- Accurately record receipts, material movements, inventory adjustments, and other transactions within the ERP system
- Ensure physical inventory quantities align with quantities recorded in the system
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies
- Create new part IDs as required and provide supporting receipts and documentation to the Purchasing Associate
- Update the system and accurately record parts and materials used by Engineering
- Work with Purchasing to ensure inventory receipts and adjustments are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Support inventory counts and inventory accuracy initiatives as required

Shipping & Order Preparation

- Prepare and package finished goods and materials for shipment
- Ensure items are properly packaged and protected for transportation
- Verify outgoing materials against applicable shipping and order documentation
- Support the preparation and organization of customer shipments
- Follow established shipping, handling, and documentation processes

Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

- Work collaboratively with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and other departments to support material availability and inventory accuracy
- Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, and other inventory concerns in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow established health and safety procedures and company policies
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory organization, accuracy, and material flow
- Perform other duties as assigned

Experience

- Previous experience in inventory control, material handling, receiving, shipping, warehousing, or a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
- Experience working with an ERP or inventory management system is considered an asset
- Previous experience preparing materials or finished goods for shipment is considered an asset
- Forklift certification is considered an asset

Technical Skills

- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn and accurately use ERP and inventory management systems
- Understanding of inventory control and material handling practices




- Knowledge of shipping methods and procedures is considered an asset
- Ability to accurately review and maintain inventory and shipping documentation

Soft Skills

- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to identify discrepancies and follow through to resolution
- Dependable, accountable, and able to work independently
