Pro-Ex Transport Systems is looking for an experienced, motivated Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team and work in-house maintaining our growing fleet of commercial trucks and equipment.

⭐THE POSITION

As our in-house Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing and servicing Pro-Ex Transport Systems' fleet.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing of trucks and equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and drivetrains
- Brake, suspension, steering and air-system repairs
- Electrical and electronic diagnostics
- Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems
- Performing inspections and safety-related repairs
- Diagnosing and repairing equipment breakdowns
- Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
- Maintaining accurate maintenance and repair records
- Identifying potential issues before they become costly breakdowns
- Keeping the shop, tools and work areas clean, organized and safe
- Supporting our drivers and fleet team to keep equipment moving safely and reliably

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR ⭐Required:

- Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience working on commercial trucks and/or heavy equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic systems




- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Valid driver's license
- Own tools

⭐Assets:

- Commercial Transport/Truck & Transport experience
- CVSE inspection experience/license
- Experience with Volvo/Mack diagnosis and repair
- Air brake experience
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Experience with computerized diagnostic systems
- Experience working in a fleet environment
- Class 1 or Class 3 driver's licence with air endorsement
