We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our agile ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) construction team. In this entry-level role, you will assist in preparing accurate project estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and other bid documents. Your proactive approach and eagerness to learn will contribute to the successful bidding process and project planning.

Duties
- Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to gather necessary information for estimating.
- Assist in developing detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid to prepare accurate bids and proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to gather pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support negotiation efforts with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
- Contribute to the preparation of bid packages, including scope of work and pricing summaries.
- Maintain organized records of all estimate documentation, correspondence, and revisions for future reference.
Skills
- Proficiency with construction estimating software.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry terminology.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and vendors.
- Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu or similar digital markup tools is a plus.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills to achieve favorable pricing outcomes.
- Project management capabilities to handle multiple estimates efficiently while meeting deadlines.
