Kitchen Team Member / Grill Cook

South St. Burger Co. – Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time, Year-Round

Pay: $17.60–$19.00 per hour

Weekend Availability Is Mandatory

Applicants must be available to work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays as scheduled. Flexible weekday availability and the ability to work opening and/or closing shifts are also required.

We are looking for reliable and hardworking team members who can thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding restaurant environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, punctual and able to remain calm during busy periods.

Responsibilities

- Grill burgers and other menu items according to company standards
- Cut, prepare and cook potatoes
- Prepare and properly store food products
- Receive, lift and organize food and supply deliveries
- Maintain sufficient stock for the current and upcoming shifts
- Clean grills, kitchen equipment, counters and work areas
- Wash dishes and other kitchen tools
- Sweep and mop floors
- Complete opening and closing duties
- Assist with food dressing,



order preparation or cashier duties when needed
- Follow all food safety, sanitation and workplace safety procedures

Requirements
- Must be available to work weekends
- Must be able to work opening and/or closing shifts
- Able to stand for extended periods in a busy kitchen environment
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual and responsible
- Able to multitask and work efficiently as part of a team
- Friendly, polite and professional attitude
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is an asset, but not required—training will be provided

Schedule
- Weekday and weekend shifts
- Day and evening shifts
- Opening and closing shifts
- Approximately 4–8 hours per shift
