We are seeking an experienced, dependable Lead Line Cook to work directly alongside our Head Chef and assist in leading daily kitchen operations. This is a hands-on, full-scope kitchen role: you will be expected to master every station on the line, ensure high quality during peak services, and maintain strict kitchen standards.
This role requires a true team player who leads by example. There is no task "beneath" this position—when the line is clear, you will be expected to pitch in on prep work, clean stations, run dishes, and handle garbage duty to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with and support the Head Chef in running daily service and maintaining kitchen output.
- Prepare, cook, and plate food orders efficiently to high quality and safety standards.
- Oversee and execute prep duties to ensure stations are fully stocked for each shift.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards across the kitchen, including dishwashing, equipment maintenance, and trash disposal as needed.
- Assist in monitoring inventory, rotation (FIFO), and minimizing waste.
- Step in to guide junior kitchen staff and lead by example during busy rushes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of proven kitchen experience in a high-volume environment.
- FoodSafe Certification (or equivalent)
required.
- Robust working knowledge of cooking techniques, line management, and food safety protocols.
- Strong work ethic with a no-job-is-too-small mindset.
- Reliable personal transportation is required (location is near the Pacific Highway Border Crossing and is not accessible by public transit).
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application.
