Peoples Park Tower is an independent living retirement facility who provides rental accommodations for seniors who need minimal to moderate support with their daily lives. Our facility enables residents to live as independently as possible, with access to supportive services.
We currently have a casual LPN position available
DUTIES:
The LPN is responsible for providing nursing care and distribution of medication for residents. The LPN will be an excellent communicator, have attention to detail, be compassionate, and have a passion for nursing. All Nursing staff are required to be available for all shifts in the weekly rotation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Nursing care
- Distribute medications
- Apply aseptic techniques including infection control, specimen collection, sterile dressing, etc.
- Communicate changes in resident’s health
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current and valid LPN license
- Current First Aid/CPR
- Training in medication administration
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong written and oral skills
OTHER
- Knowledge of eldercare or related fields
- Experience working with seniors is an asset
- Must be available for shifts in 24/7 rotation
- Must provide Criminal History Background Check no more than 30 days old.
We have a unique, warm and welcoming environment with great residents and great staff. The starting wage is $26.00 per hour. The successful candidate will have a valid LPN license and current first aid/cpr training. Benefits and pension are available to employees working 30 hours or more each week and apply after certain conditions are met. All Nursing staff are available for all shifts in the 24/7 rotation. This is a casual position at this time. Any full time openings are offered internally to existing casual LPNs.
