We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook and counter staff full time and part time with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and food safety to join our dynamic team. This role involves preparing high-quality meals in a rapid-paced restaurant environment, ensuring excellent service for our customers. The position also includes responsibilities related to food handling and maintaining cleanliness standards.
A background in the food industry, restaurant experience, or kitchen experience is highly valued. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Serve food promptly and accurately to customers or servers as needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination or accidents
- Support meal preparation during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as required
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook in a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and servers
- Familiarity with restaurant service protocols and customer service principles
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving supplies or equipment
- Basic knowledge of the food industry trends and best practices for quality assurance
