HOME Bakehouse & Café is looking for a reliable and hardworking Line Cook to join its team!

Location: 356 Queen Street East, Sault Ste. Marie

Starting wage: $17.60 per hour, with a raise after three months

Hours: Approximately 25–32 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Saturday; closed Sundays

Morning availability is important. Shifts may be scheduled between approximately 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 or 8:00 p.m.

The menu features sandwiches, soups, and other café-style items. Previous kitchen experience is an asset; however, the employer is willing to train someone who has a genuine interest in cooking and is eager to learn.

Main Responsibilities Include

- Preparing sandwiches, soups, and other menu items
- Assisting with food preparation and kitchen setup
- Washing dishes, which is a significant part of the position




- Keeping the kitchen and dishwashing areas clean and organized
- Following food-safety and workplace-safety procedures
- Receiving, lifting, and storing kitchen supplies
- Assisting with other kitchen duties as needed

Required Skills

- Have a valid Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds (20 kilograms)
- Be comfortable completing dishwashing and cleaning duties
- Be reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen
- Work well independently and as part of a team
- Be available Monday through Saturday, including mornings
