2 Positions Available:

Rock Ridge Dairy is situated in rural Ponoka Alberta. We produce quality goat milk, kefir, cheese and Organic Cow milk products and are now and we are seeking a mature and responsible individual for a position as a processing assistant and one person as a production and HACCP assistant. People with previous food handling experience and HACCP experience will be preferred.

-Be able to work independently and in a team setting -Have great attention to detail

-Have problem solving capabilities and be mechanically inclined.

-Be reasonably physically fit as the job required a great deal of lifting.

-Be able to handle situations as they arise in a calm and collected manner.

-Have neat hand writing

-Be familiar with Quickbooks is a asset but not required

- Absolutely must enjoy CLEANING since this is the biggest part of food processing.
- Excellent English skills are also required.

1. FOOD PROCESSING ASSISTANT (MILK AND CHEESE): This position will primarily focus on: However duties would be increased over time to include:

- Bottling and packaging of milk for transport to the retail outlets.
- Packaging of cheese
- Equipment Cleaning and Sanitation




- Record Keeping and maintenance of HACCP programs
- Machinery assembly and disassembly
- Sanitation and Clean up
- Assist with packing orders
- Loading and unloading delivery trucks
- General upkeep and maintenance

Room for advancement and training in HACCP and Cheesemaking is possible for the right applicants with previous food processing experience. Working Monday- Friday. Saturday and Sundays are normally Off. Early morning shifts are also required along with flexible start times and end times. Production follows as atypical schedule and hours may exceed or be less than a typical 8 hour shift and alters to accommodate the products being made.

Shift Examples for this position (Start times vary typically from 5:30am-6am on day shift, with end times varying between 2pm and 4pm on average)

Example of a typical schedule.

Monday: 6am-3:30pm or 3:30am to approx. 11am.

Tuesdays: 5:30am-3:30pm

Wednesdays: 6am-3:30pm

Thursdays: 6:00am-2pm (up to 4pm-5pm depending on products being made)

Fridays: 6am-10:30am (Fridays are often OFF if possible or a 1/2 day when needed).

Starting wages are dependent on previous work experience.
