About the Role

We are seeking a Millwright Apprentice to join our Calgary team. We will also consider a newly certified Journeyman Millwright who is eager to develop their career in industrial equipment repair and service.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, enjoys hands-on work, and is committed to safety and quality workmanship. We're looking for someone who approaches challenges with curiosity, takes pride in their work, and is motivated to continuously develop their technical skills in a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist with and perform inspections, maintenance, overhauls, repairs, and installations on pumps, rotating equipment, and other industrial machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues and perform effective repairs to restore equipment reliability and performance.
- Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
- Support the maintenance, repair, and testing of pumps, motors, and other industrial fluid handling equipment.
- Perform equipment disassembly, reassembly, alignment, and precision measurements to ensure reliable operation and performance.
- Complete welding, fabrication, and installation work as required to support repair and field service activities.
- Follow and promote HMFT's safety policies and procedures while adhering to all applicable safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for completed work.

Qualifications

- Registered Millwright Apprentice, or
- Recently certified Journeyman Millwright
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record to drive a company vehicle.




- Valid passport and ability to travel to the United States for product training.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals
- Working knowledge of micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
