Your Role at a Glance

As an Industrial Mechanic / Electromechanic, you will work closely with our technical and operations teams within a management philosophy centered on teamwork, innovation, respect, safety, and passion for what we do. The objective of our facility at Cote Gold (Ontario) is to provide explosive product distribution and blasting services. In this role, you will perform maintenance, servicing, and necessary repairs on our fixed equipment to ensure the overall proper operation of the plant, as well as the on-site “process” system involving pump trucks.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their expertise by performing a wide range of activities related to their trade.

Role & Responsabilities

-Update and execute the preventive maintenance plan for all plant manufacturing equipment and pumping systems, and monitor the existing quality system;

-Inspect machinery and electromechanical systems, diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions, and replace defective parts or carry out equipment repairs;

-Assess the scope of required repairs and plan the necessary intervention time;

-Respond to production issues related to maintenance and actively participate in resolving them;

-Assemble and install new equipment or mechanical components as required and ensure their maintenance (progressive cavity pumps,



fans, tanks, etc.);

-Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed, as well as parts used;

-Replace or refurbish components required for machine maintenance and/or order parts from suppliers as needed;

-Maintain a safe and clean work area;

-Collaborate with supervisors in conducting weekly inventories of parts and equipment required for proper site operations;

-Implement site-specific work permits (e.g., hot work, working at heights, etc.), obtain supervisor approval prior to starting work, and close work orders upon completion;

-Comply with all health and safety procedures and processes in place, particularly lockout/tagout procedures prior to any intervention on production equipment;

- Perform any other related duties as required.

Qualifications required -Hold a vocational diploma in industrial maintenance, electromechanics of automated systems, or a related/equivalent field;

-Have 3 to 5 years of significant experience in an industrial and manufacturing environment, particularly in process operations;

-Have an understanding of industrial steam systems;

-Have solid knowledge of lockout/tagout principles;

-Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs)



and variable frequency drives (Schneider) is an asset;

-Ability to read industrial drawings such as P&IDs; (Process and Instrumentation Diagram) and exploded equipment views;

-Hold an ESA (Electric Safety Authority) equipment connection certificate (an asset);

-Welding skills (an asset);

-Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license;

-Be able to use and work with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Teams, etc.);

-Have no criminal record that would prevent employment.

Work conditions

-Permanent, full-time position;

-12-hour shifts for 14 consecutive days followed by 14 days off (Fly-in / Fly-out);

-Competitive salary;

-44-hour work week (Sunday to Saturday) with paid overtime after 44 hours;
