We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our healthcare team. The MOA plays a crucial role in managing administrative tasks, coordinating patient flow, and assisting with clinical duties to uphold the highest standards of healthcare delivery.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure
- Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and update electronic health records accurately and efficiently
- Prepare examination rooms, ensure cleanliness, and organize medical supplies for smooth clinical operations
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care activities, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting clinical notes
- Administer medications or injections under supervision, following strict safety protocols and medical guidelines
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding medication instructions, follow-up appointments,
and health education
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, confidentiality standards, and infection control procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a hospital or clinical setting as a Medical Office Assistant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of patient care procedures and medical terminology to facilitate accurate communication and documentation
- Ability to handle medication administration responsibly while adhering to safety protocols
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a rapid-paced environment
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care and support
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and scheduling software
- Certification or training in medical assisting or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
