About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced NDT Technician / Welding Inspector to join our Fort McMurray team. This position is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in non-destructive testing in the mining and mobile equipment (crane) industries who is looking for long-term, stable employment within the region. Candidates must currently reside in the Fort McMurray area. This is a local position. Responsibilities

- Perform Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) inspections on various forms of equipment.
- Conduct visual inspections of welds and fabricated assemblies.
- Review applicable drawings, specifications, procedures, and client requirements.
- Accurately document inspection findings and prepare inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements.




- Communicate inspection results with clients, supervisors, and project personnel.
- Maintain company inspection equipment and documentation.
- Support quality assurance and quality control programs while promoting a strong safety culture.

Required Qualifications

- CGSB MT Level II certification (required).
- Minimum 3 years of related NDT experience in the crane inspection or mining industries.
- Solid understanding of welding inspection and quality control practices.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Must be a resident of Fort McMurray or the surrounding area.

Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications will be considered assets:

- CGSB UT Level I or UT Level II certification.
- Oil Sands, refinery, maintenance, fabrication, construction, or mining inspection experience.
- CSTS 2020.
- H2S Alive.
- Standard First Aid.

Schedule

- Full-time position.
- Monday to Friday schedule with overtime as required.
