About the Opportunity

Black Fox Inspection is seeking an experienced Senior Crane Inspector to lead and grow our inspection operations throughout Edmonton and the surrounding region.

This position is ideal for a highly motivated leader with extensive experience in crane, lifting device, and heavy equipment inspections who is looking to play a key role in developing our team and supporting our continued growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing inspection personnel, supporting clients throughout Central Alberta, maintaining high-quality inspection standards, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, lead, and mentor a team of inspectors throughout the Edmonton region.
- Schedule, coordinate, and deploy inspection personnel to meet client requirements and project schedules.
- Perform and oversee crane, lifting device,



and heavy equipment inspections.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients while supporting business development initiatives.
- Review inspection reports and ensure the accuracy and quality of all documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality procedures.
- Manage multiple projects and inspection activities simultaneously while meeting client deadlines.
- Provide technical support and guidance to inspectors and clients.
- Address customer concerns and ensure the highest level of service delivery.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all company and client safety requirements are followed.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 10 years of crane and equipment inspection experience, including significant experience supporting clients throughout Edmonton and Central Alberta.
- Demonstrated experience leading inspection teams and managing personnel.
- Extensive knowledge of mobile cranes, overhead cranes, lifting devices, and heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of welding inspection principles and quality control practices.
- Proven experience interacting directly with clients, engineers, contractors, and regulatory representatives.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and report-writing skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications The following certifications and experience will be considered strong assets:

- CGSB MT Level II
- CGSB UT Level I or II
- Experience in mining, construction, oil and gas, fabrication, and industrial maintenance environments
- CSTS 2020
- H2S Alive
- Standard First Aid
- Supervisory or management experience within an inspection or industrial services workplace
