Overview

I am seeking a dependable and physically capable Driver/Swamper to join our team in Delta curbside recycling collection. This role involves operating a heavy-duty vehicle both in a driver sit-down position and passenger stand up . The ideal candidate will have experience in curbside recycling or similar working atmosphere, driving large vehicles and be comfortable with repetitive lifting, while ensuring protected and efficient operation .

This role is scheduled 4 days a week in multiple locations across the city of Delta.

Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicle according to all safety regulations and company policies, including right hand side procedure. Conduct routine vehicle inspections pre and post trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly Maintaining preventative maintenance and ensuring interior of cab is clean from garbage and roadway dirt build up .

Qualifications





Valid driver’s license with "air endorsement" class 5 Experience driving refuse trucks or similar vehicles a MUST . Ability to perform repetitive lifting safely and efficiently. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to transportation and load handling Good communication skills and ability to follow directions accurately Physical stamina to handle long periods of driving and manual tasks in various weather conditions Reliable work ethic with a focus on safety, punctuality, and teamwork

Pay: $30.00-$34.00 per hour
