Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll Techno-Functional Consultant to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll, Core HR, Time & Labor, and technical development tools , with a proven ability to configure, troubleshoot, test, and deploy end-to-end HCM solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable Oracle HCM solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end functional and technical support for Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll .
- Configure and support Payroll, Core HR, Oracle Time and Labor (OTL), and Advanced Workforce Scheduling (AWS) .
- Design, configure, unit test, troubleshoot, and deploy Oracle HCM solutions.
- Configure Elements, Input Values, Eligibility, Costing, Information Elements, Custom Balance Feeds, UDTs, Fast Formulas, and Balance Adjustments .
- Support payroll costing, including Costed, Fixed Costed, and Distributed Costing .
- Configure and maintain payroll-related business rules, including premiums, hourly rates, RRSP, RPP, uniform allowances, vacation, union dues, meal allowances, taxable meals, and wages in lieu.
- Support year-end payroll processes , including T4 and RL1 box-feed mapping and related payroll activities.
- Provide expertise in pay-to-post cycles, GL interfacing, payroll costing, and payroll integrations .
- Configure and support Unions and Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) .
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, quarterly update issues, and year-end payroll issues.
- Develop and support HCM Extracts, OTBI Reports,
BI Publisher/Bursting, Fast Formulas, DFF/Flexfields, Security Console, ESS Scheduler, HCM Data Loader (HDL/HSDL), workflow notifications, and Transaction Controls .
- Develop and support inbound and outbound integrations with external vendors and systems.
- Partner with Project Managers and Business Analysts to understand business requirements, recommend solutions, and provide effort estimates.
- Review technical and functional design specifications and ensure solutions align with business requirements.
- Identify configuration risks, process improvements, efficiencies, and opportunities to implement Oracle best practices.
- Provide production support and participate in 24/7 on-call or standby support when required.
- Stay current with Oracle HCM Cloud quarterly releases and new system capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field .
- 5+ years of IT experience supporting Oracle HCM systems.
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll , including end-to-end payroll processing.
- 3+ years of hands-on Oracle HCM Cloud Technical and Functional experience .
- Strong expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll configuration and development .
- Strong knowledge of Fast Formulas, UDTs, eligibility, costing, GL interfacing,
and payroll elements .
- Strong experience with Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) and preferably Advanced Workforce Scheduling (AWS).
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle Fusion technical tools.
- Hands-on experience with HCM Extracts, OTBI, BI Publisher, HDL/HSDL, DFF/Flexfields, Security Console, ESS Scheduler, and workflow/notifications .
- Experience with end-to-end payroll integrations and external vendor file transfers .
- Proven ability to design and optimize business processes across multiple systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with at least two of the following:

- Absence Management
- Experience integrating Oracle HCM with RPA tools such as UiPath .
- ITIL certification or practical ITIL knowledge.
- Experience supporting Canadian payroll , including CRA and Revenue Québec requirements.
- Experience with T4 and RL1 year-end processes.
- Knowledge of French payroll requirements and French/English bilingualism is an advantage.

- Ability to support irregular working hours during peak delivery periods.
- Willingness to participate in standby/on-call support for 24/7 coverage , as required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
