We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. In this vital role, you will support attorneys by managing legal documentation, conducting research, and ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes. Qualifications:
Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
Proficiency in French (verbal and written) is an asset
Excellent communication skill
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple work assignments
Robust computer and keyboarding skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to perform all tasks as assigned with attention to detail and minimal supervision
Ability to work independently, as well as a team player
Formal education through a Paralegal Program from a recognized post-secondary institution would be considered an asset
Previous relevant work experience within a law firm environment would be considered an asset.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
managing case files, conducting legal research, drafting court documents, and organizing evidence through every stage of a lawsuit
Preparation of correspondence and legal documentation (ie Affidavits of Documents, Real Estate Forms, etc);
Review, organize, and analyze documents;
Record all billable and non-billable functions on a daily basis;
Interaction with and management of clients and outside business contacts;
Other general office duties as required.
Gandy & Associates offers a market-competitive salary commensurate with experience.
Pay: $40,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
