Cashier / Front Counter Team Member – Takeout Restaurant

Location: CHAIYO by PAI, CIBC Square, Toronto

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday

Hours: 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Position: Part-Time

Pay Rate: $17.60 per hour

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and service-minded Cashier / Front Counter Team Member for CHAIYO by PAI, our takeout restaurant located in the upscale food court at CIBC Square.

This is a fast-paced, customer-facing position with a very busy lunch rush. The ideal candidate must be able to work quickly and systematically under pressure while maintaining accuracy, cleanliness, organization, and professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional, and efficient service.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
- Manage dine-in, takeout, and online orders, ensuring each order is prepared, packed, and handed to the correct customer.
- Track multiple orders systematically during busy service periods.
- Check every order for accuracy and completeness before serving.
- Prepare and pack food and lunch combos according to restaurant standards.
- Refill condiments, utensils, napkins, packaging, and front-counter supplies.
- Keep the front counter, service area, equipment, and work surfaces clean and organized at all times.
- Maintain good personal hygiene and follow food-safety and sanitation standards.




- Identify and resolve order or customer-service issues quickly and professionally.
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen team to maintain smooth and efficient service.
- Follow PAI Restaurant service, cleanliness, and operational standards.

What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Cashier or Front Counter Team Member in a takeout, quick-service, or similar fast-paced restaurant environment is required.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Strong customer-service mindset with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Able to remain calm, systematic, and accurate during a high-volume lunch rush.
- Able to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy, cleanliness, or service quality.
- Reliable, punctual, responsible, and able to follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform vegetable preparation safely and efficiently is a big plus.
- Previous experience with PAI Restaurant standards is a solid plus.

This position is best suited for someone who is organized, efficient, customer-focused, committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and comfortable working under pressure in a busy restaurant environment. Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 13.5 per week
