This position offers flexible hours perfect for students, professionals, or anyone looking to gain retail experience while making a meaningful impact. MUST BE AVAILABLE EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS. This position is primarily Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon/evening shifts.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude.
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process cash, credit, and mobile payments.
- Handle cash handling duties with precision, including giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, take-out food orders, fuel purchases, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring products are well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Manage phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing information about store services, daily specials and ordering food for take-out.
- Support team members with basic inventory management and organizational tasks to ensure smooth store operations.
Experience
- Prior retail sales or cashiering experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-first mindset are most important!
- Familiarity with technology sales, product demos, or technical sales experience is a plus for engaging customers about our offerings.
- Robust communication skills, time management, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
- Basic math skills are necessary for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Previous experience with POS systems or retail cashiering will help you hit the ground running.
