Part-time Elementary Teacher/Tutor

Scholars of Calgary Southeast is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Part-time Elementary Teacher/Tutor to join our dynamic team. As a teacher at Scholars, you will have the opportunity to positively impact students, both personally and academically. We take pride in delivering proven results for our students. Our teachers play a key role in this journey. The successful candidate will be trained to our standards and teaching methodology.

Dimensions:

· Provide tutoring and educational support to students.

· implement lesson plans in line with the Scholars curriculum.

· Create a positive and inclusive learning workplace for students.

· Utilize different teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.

· Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.

· Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student learning and development.

Skills & Requirements:

· Alberta teaching certification is an asset.





· Candidates working towards their teaching certification are welcome to apply.

· Previous experience working with children in a tutoring environment is an asset.

· Excellent English oral and written skills alongside knowledge of phonics.

· Have a passion to help students reach their potential.

· Exceptionally organized and meticulous for attention to detail.

· Ability to teach in a 3:1 ratio.

· Must be able to teach math up to grade 8.

Candidates must be able to work a minimum of two shifts per week.

· Monday-Thursday 4 - 8 pm

Job Type: Part-time

- Weekends as needed

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:
- Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
