Overview Rainbow Academy Inc. is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious, and nurturing professional to join our team as a Part-Time School Bus Driver. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support students through safe and reliable transportation services.The ideal candidate will hold a valid Class B or Class E Commercial Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements and demonstrate a genuine commitment to student safety. You will serve as a trusted and familiar presence for students during their daily commute.

Key ResponsibilitiesTransportation Duties

- Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of students.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Enforce student safety rules and maintain orderly conduct on the bus.
- Ensure safe boarding and disembarking procedures, including proper use of safety equipment (e.g., stop arm, crossing arm).
- Maintain accurate transportation records, including attendance, mileage, and incident reports.
- Keep the bus clean, sanitary, and in safe working condition.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding delays or concerns.




- Comply with all applicable transportation laws and school policies.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class B or Class E Commercial Driver’s License
- Clean driving record.
- Successful completion of background check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Previous experience working with preschool or school-aged children is considered an asset.

Work Schedule

- Morning: School bus routes (Before School Program)
- Afternoon: After School routes and supervision
- Hours will vary based on route assignments and program needs

Compensation & Benefits

- Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
- Expected Hours: 20–30 hours per week
