Role Description The Past President role at Pizza Shab is a full-time, on-site position based in Toronto, ON. This role focuses on providing strategic counsel to current leadership, drawing on prior executive experience with the organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising on long-term business planning, supporting succession and leadership development, and offering guidance on brand direction and major initiatives.

The Past

President collaborates with the executive team to review performance, identify improvement areas, and ensure continuity of core values and culture.



The role may also involve representing Pizza Shab at key events, mentoring senior staff, and helping maintain robust relationships with community and business partners.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated executive leadership experience, ideally within restaurant, hospitality, or retail environments.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, business growth, and organizational development.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring senior leaders, guiding change management, and supporting succession planning.
- Ability to work on-site in Toronto, ON, with a hands-on approach to supporting restaurant operations when needed.
- Familiarity with multi-location management in the GTA or similar metropolitan markets is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in business, management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent leadership experience.
