Role Description The Pharmacy Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB, responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant dispensing of medications. This role includes supervising and supporting pharmacy technicians and other team members, coordinating workflow, and maintaining high standards of pharmacy practice and customer care.

The Pharmacy

Manager reviews prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness, provides medication counseling, and administers immunizations in line with regulatory requirements and company policies. Additional responsibilities include managing inventory, monitoring regulatory and quality standards, optimizing staffing and scheduling,



and contributing to store performance and healthcare service initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with store leadership to drive operational excellence and an inclusive, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience supervising and collaborating with pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and pharmacy practice, including regulatory and ethical standards.
- Proficiency in reviewing and processing prescriptions, ensuring accuracy, safety, and appropriate use.
- Ability to provide and manage immunization services in accordance with provincial guidelines.
- Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (or eligibility for licensure in Alberta).
- Proven leadership skills, including team management, coaching, and performance development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on inclusive, patient-centered care.
- Experience with pharmacy management systems, medication distribution processes, and inventory control.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
