Big Cheese Pizza in Flesherton is looking to fill a part time position that may lead to full time, if desired. Availability should include both 11am-4:00pm and 4:00pm-8:00pm, as well as weekends. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations.

As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing ingredients, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the cooking staff in delivering high-quality meals. Duties include running the front cash, serving customers, preparing pizza toppings, cheese, dough and salad from scratch as well as making/baking pizzas. Dishes and other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the food prep area.




- Greet customers warmly at the store front, taking orders accurately using POS systems, and processing payments with cash handling expertise.
- Maintain proper food handling procedures in compliance with food safety regulations to ensure a safe dining workplace.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to fulfill orders promptly while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Assist with store cleanliness, sanitation, and organization to uphold health standards and create an inviting atmosphere for guests.

Experience

- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques is advantageous
- Experience in customer service or serving roles will be beneficial for interacting with guests effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is a plus
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with excellent communication skills

Pay: $17.60-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
