North Country Track & Wheel is looking for a skilled and experienced Powersports Technician to join our team.

This is a full-time position working in a modern, organized and climate-controlled shop. You'll work on a variety of powersports and outdoor power equipment, with opportunities for continued technical development and factory training.

Compensation & Benefits

- $30–$37/hour based on experience and technical ability
- Year-end performance bonus, typically $1,000–$3,000
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Role As a Powersports Technician, you will maintain, diagnose and repair powersports equipment, ensuring the functionality and reliability of engines, electrical systems, drivetrains and other mechanical systems.

Your work may include

- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and fuel-injection/EFI issues
- Engine, drivetrain, suspension and electrical repairs
- Routine maintenance and seasonal service
- Accessory installation and setup
- Pre-delivery inspection and preparation of current equipment
- Warranty diagnosis and repairs
- Using manufacturer diagnostic tools, service information and technical resources
- Accurately documenting repairs and work performed

The right candidate will have strong attention to detail, be comfortable working with a variety of machines and tools, and follow established safety procedures. Who You Are The ideal candidate:

Previous powersports experience is an asset, but we are also interested in experienced automotive, motorcycle, small-engine, agricultural or equipment technicians who are interested in moving into the powersports industry.

Our History

Dave and Mary Goodman established Borderland Esso in Emo, Ontario in 1983, starting with a small-town gas and service station and gradually building the business into the dealership it is today.

Husqvarna joined the business in 1983, followed by Arctic Cat in 1987 and Kubota in 2010. These have become our three core product lines.

In 2013, David and Beatriz Goodman joined the family business with the goal of continuing another generation of quality products and service. As the business evolved, we moved away from gasoline sales and automotive service to focus on the growing equipment and powersports sides of the business. In 2017, that evolution led to our new name: North Country Track & Wheel.
