But here’s the catch: we don’t just hire anyone—we hire the best.

Are you an energetic, enthusiastic, and driven educator who wants to make a real difference? Are you passionate about helping elementary students build confidence, strengthen their academic skills, and achieve academic success? If so, we want YOU!

Who’s the Right Fit?

We are looking for OCT-certified Grade 1–6 All-Subjects Tutors to support students through in-home, in-person instruction. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching, committed to student success, and skilled at creating engaging, personalized learning experiences.

Qualified candidates will have experience teaching or tutoring elementary students and be comfortable providing direct instruction in a variety of subject areas.

Experience with the Ontario elementary curriculum (Grades 1–6) is essential. The ability to provide instruction in person, with the option to support students online as needed, is preferred.

As a Prep Academy Tutor, You Will

- Empower students with personalized academic support aligned with the Ontario elementary curriculum.
- Provide direct, explicit instruction across core elementary subject areas, including Math, English/Language, Science, and Social Studies.
- Help students strengthen foundational skills in reading, writing, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, numeracy,

problem-solving, and critical thinking.
- Support students with classroom assignments, assessments, projects, and exam preparation where appropriate.
- Develop customized lesson plans that promote deep understanding, confidence, independence, and academic growth.
- Provide both remedial support for struggling students and enrichment opportunities for those seeking advanced challenges.
- Use structured, engaging instructional strategies to reinforce foundational academic skills and address individual learning needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, goals, and areas for improvement.
- Provide primarily in-person, in-home instruction while maintaining flexibility to support students online as needed.

- Are currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program.
- Have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited Canadian or U.S. college or university.
