Responsibilities

- Build and ship production-grade platforms and reusable software foundations.
- Deliver high-quality maintainable software across diverse languages and frameworks.
- Lead platform strategy and architecture for scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
- Collaborate on full ML lifecycle systems including data ingestion, preprocessing, and model deployment.
- Mentor teams, transfer knowledge, and improve engineering practices.
- Drive innovation by surfacing current technical approaches and product solutions.
- Advise on architecture and scalability to align technical decisions with business outcomes.
- Facilitate alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Design and manage technical roadmaps for large engagements.
- Contribute to 8th Light's culture and represent it in the tech community.

Requirements

- Build and ship production-grade platforms, reusable foundations, and workflows.
- Deliver solutions across multiple programming languages and frameworks like Java, Python, TypeScript, and Scala.
- Develop and deploy AI/ML features including recommendation engines, NLP, and computer vision.
- Lead modernization and replatforming efforts aligning with business needs.
- Architect scalable, secure,



and maintainable solutions addressing performance and observability.
- Collaborate on full ML lifecycle systems from data ingestion to performance monitoring.
- Experiment with AI development tools to enhance team delivery speed and quality.
- Apply architectural patterns to drive clear design rationale.
- Integrate agentic frameworks and RAG pipelines into production systems.
- Advise on DevSecOps, MLOps, and infrastructure as code practices.
