TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for a PROCESS CONTROL ENGINEER for an Edmonton area-based chance to work in an operating plant environment.
: Designing, implementing, and optimizing regulatory process control strategies Developing and modifying control logic, graphics, and alarm configurations Supporting and maintaining Distributed Control Systems (DCS) (e.g., Honeywell Experion PKS) Providing technical support during plant upsets, startups, and shutdowns Maintaining proper documentation for control strategies, configurations, and changes Leading and supporting alarm rationalization and management initiatives Supporting cybersecurity initiatives within the OT/ICS environment Participating in process optimization and continuous improvement projects Troubleshooting and resolving control system issues Job Requirements: ~ Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical,
or Process Control Engineering ~10+ years of experience in process control within industrial or chemical plant environments ~ Registered Professional Engineer with APEGA or eligible for registration ~ Experience working with MS Office and SAP ~ Experience with HMI development and scripting such as VBScript and HMIWeb ~ Experience with DCS systems such as Honeywell Experion is preferred, and Honeywell TPS experience is an asset ~ Understanding of process dynamics and control theory (PID tuning, loop optimization) ~ Experience with alarm management systems ~ Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Pay rates or salaries will be based on experience and current market standards.
