Additional to the internal holdings, Critical Discoveries provides exploration planning and execution for key clients in various deposit types. About the role The Grade Control Geologist will play an important role in supporting day-to-day mine geology and grade control activities, working closely with site personnel to ensure accurate geological interpretation, sampling, ore identification and production support.

Responsibilities will include

- Conducting underground geological mapping, sampling and interpretation.




- Providing daily grade control support to mining operations.
- Identifying and defining ore and waste boundaries to support mining activities.
- Completing face, muck and other production sampling as required.
- Monitoring and interpreting geological structures, mineralization and alteration.
- Maintaining accurate geological and grade control records and databases.
- Producing and updating geological plans, sections and interpretations.
- Reviewing assay results and incorporating new information into geological interpretations.
- Assisting with ore tracking and reconciliation between geological interpretations and mine production.
- Supporting underground drilling programs, including drill planning, supervision and interpretation of results.
- Ensuring geological and sampling data is collected accurately and entered into the appropriate databases.
- Working collaboratively with mine operations, engineering and other site personnel.
- Maintaining a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards while working underground and on surface.

About You To be successful in this role, you should have experience in mine geology and/or grade control, preferably within an underground hard-rock mining environment. The ideal candidate will possess:





- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or a related geoscience discipline from a recognized institution.
- Previous experience in grade control, production geology or underground mine geology.
- Experience with underground geological mapping and sampling.
- Strong understanding of structural geology and mineralized systems.
- Experience interpreting geological and assay data.
- Ability to produce and interpret geological plans, cross sections and long sections.
- Familiarity with geological databases and data validation.
- Working knowledge of geological 3D software such as Micromine, Surpac or Leapfrog.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary site team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality geological data.
- A positive, safety-focused attitude and the ability to work effectively in an active mine environment.
