POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of the
County of Lethbridge Community Learning Council, the Program Assistant is responsible for:
1. Reception:
● Provide initial contact in person or on the telephone in a courteous and qualified manner ● Answer incoming telephone calls and accurately take messages
● Provide course information and accept registrations
1. Clerical:
● Maintain CALP database, digital and paper filing systems ● Maintain accurate up-to-date mailing lists for brochures, instructors, Board directors, and membership
● Attend Board meetings and take minutes as required
● Prepare bank deposits
● Prepare cheque requisitions for instructors, facilities, and course refunds
● Prepare instructor contracts
● Input registration information
● Produce class lists and statistical reports
● Design course brochure and promotional materials
● Assist in the distribution of posters/flyers and brochures to County offices/businesses
● Proficient in Windows, Google Suite, website management and digital marketing
● Assist in organizing special events
● Purchase and deliver office/class supplies
● Other duties as assigned
Salary: $22-$24/hr depending on experience
Hours: Monday-Thursday 12-5
*Please note this is a contract position for 10 months with the possibility of renewal for another 10 months after a trial period.
