In response to growing demand, we are currently recruiting a highly motivated Purchasing Support Administrator to join the Procurement Team at our Edmonton facility. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Support Administrator will use the available ERP system to ensure timely procurement of both stock and non-stock inventory for resale, in accordance with Price Steel’s purchasing practices and procedures. The successful candidate will promote and maintain a high level of communication and liaison with Price Steel Departments and the external supplier community.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and analyze inventory levels and deliveries of product to ensure quality, quantity, and cost guidelines are in adherence with Price Steel’s purchasing practices and Market Strategy

- Execute ongoing and timely Min/Max Inventory Reviews and provide recommendations to management

- Prepare and execute concise and accurate Purchase Orders, along with other related documents involved with the Procurement Process

- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure alignment, in terms of capacity and capability, with the needs of an ever-changing market

- Proactively initiate and resolve outstanding concerns and claims with suppliers

- Provide support to both Sales and Operations departments by tracking, pre-receiving, and scheduling of inbound long-haul shipments

- General computer skills to operate within an ERP environment (ENITEO by ENMARK SYSTEMS)

Essential Skills and Experience:

- Knowledge of carbon steel products is essential

- High level of organization and planning

- High level of attention to detail

- Effective communication, both written and verbal; including telephone aptitude and the ability to interface with suppliers and personnel at all levels within Price Steel

- Ability to work under general directions within established purchasing practices

- Competency with computer applications used in business, such as MS Office and Excel
- A high degree of professional integrity, ethics and confidentiality is required at all times
