Position Summary The Quality Engineer is responsible for designing and developing Quality standards and validation methods for the manufacturing processes. The Quality Engineer also serves as the department’s technical lead and technical point of contact to the customer and actively represents Quality as a key member of the new model development team.

1. Essential Functions

- Develop current model APQP documentation (Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA)
- Develop initial new model and mass-production operation standards
- Develop Quality requirements for new process equipment and check fixtures
- Develop and administer new model training
- Perform Supplier quality functions (audit visits, PPAP approval, etc.)
- Perform complex part dimensional analysis and reporting
- Obtain customer approval for new model parts and changepoints




- Develop in-process / SPC checks for mass-production based on customer requirements
- Develop requirements and drive improvements to Quality performance data capture
- Act as technical lead for quality concern investigations
- Act as a technical point of contact for the customer as necessary
- Provides technical support to Quality and Manufacturing operations as needed.

1. Additional Responsibilities

- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Follow travel guidelines, including local and international travel, typically less than 10%, with trips lasting up to two weeks at a time.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Demonstrate flexibility and availability to work occasional weekday and weekend overtime based on project needs.

- College engineering diploma, university engineering degree, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience with an interest in the manufacturing/automotive industries, or College/University completion with co-op experience.
- Previous experience or familiarity with technical project work.
- Knowledge of injection molding and assembly processes is an asset.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Catia).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Fluency in English.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license.
