The Real Estate Portfolio
Manager is a key member of the BU leadership team, providing Real Estate leadership for a key segment of the global BU portfolio consisting of over 5 million sq. ft. of real estate responsibility. These portfolios span multiple sites, regions and countries.
The ideal candidate will possess the following: demonstrated customer focus, strong business acumen and the ability to develop strategic approaches to complex problems, experience in Real Estate and Facility-related program/project execution, contract management, project management, organization and personnel development, operating and capital budget development and management, quality and process improvement. Oversees a segment of the Global Business Portfolio, consisting of over 5 million sq. ft. of real estate ~ Coordinate with Real Estate Centers of Excellence to ensure seamless execution of the operation of sites, strategy, acquisition and project delivery to stakeholders. ~ Provide strategic responsibility and leadership in support of real estate transformation. ~ Identify opportunities for value-added real estate solutions to the businesses. ~ Ensure alignment of real estate portfolio strategy and assets to ensure optimal business use. ~ Identify innovative opportunities to enhance facilities operation's quality, decrease cost, reduce time to market and increase customer satisfaction.
~ Forecast customer demand signals and ensure appropriate supply and resource allocation to deliver customer requirements. ~ Manage project intake for the BU and oversee business case development, requirements gathering and communication with key project stakeholders. ~ Develop and execute deliverables, reporting and presentations to business unit stakeholders and senior leadership. ~ Compare real estate alternatives from a qualitative, financial, timing and risk perspective; Direct interface with state and local government agencies. ~ Ensure 100% compliance with Enterprise Real Estate Services processes and procedures. ~ Establish capital plans and operating budget forecasts and projections to support management in achieving financial, operational and other measures established for business unit stakeholders. ~40% - 60% travel domestically and internationally anticipated. The successful candidate must be able to work on a hybrid basis from either the Longueuil or Mississauga office, with regular in office and off-site work.
The proportion of time spent on-site will be determined in partnership with your future manager. A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience; Corporate Real Estate experience preferred.
Corporate Real
Estate transaction experience and working knowledge of Project Management, Construction Development, Workplace Strategy and Facility Management.
This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues. Corporate finance expertise preferred with 5+ years of asset/portfolio management experience.
Ability to understand the financial impact of decisions and advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles and advanced financial analysis. This would include extensive experience building strong cross-functional teams with proven results. ability to create and present executive-level deliverables relative to key stakeholders.
Experience building relationships in difficult situations, both internally and externally. Available to travel domestically and internationally.
