Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health
- Take and develop digital X-rays, ensuring accuracy and patient safety
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice
- Assist in developing personalized treatment plans alongside the dental team
- Manage patient records efficiently using paradigm software
- Support orthodontic procedures by providing specialized hygiene care for patients with braces or aligners
- Communicate effectively with patients in multiple languages if bilingual skills are available, ensuring clarity and comfort during visits
Experience
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting, preferably with pediatric and general adult patients
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse patient populations
- Experience in dental assisting or related roles is a plus to support team collaboration
- Ability to understand medical terminology relevant to dentistry for accurate documentation and communication
