Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our vibrant team, committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. Qualifications:

- Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE certification is required).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with toddlers, pre-casa, or preschool-aged children (ages 15 months to 6 years).
- Montessori training/experience is highly valued, with strong knowledge of Montessori principles and programming being an asset.
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification (must have or be willing to obtain).
- Vulnerable Sector Check (required upon hire).
- Up-to-date health and immunization records, including 2-Step TB test and proof of immunizations (Tetanus, MMR).
- Bilingualism (French proficiency) and the ability to teach piano are assets but not required.

Responsibilities

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth for children in your care
- Foster a safe, welcoming workplace that encourages exploration and independence




- Collaborate with families to support each child's unique needs and developmental goals
- Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress, daily routines, and incident reports
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and health & safety standards at all times
- Lead classroom activities that incorporate early childhood education principles and best practices
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate daily operations and educational strategies

Skills

- Strong command of English; bilingual skills in French or other languages are a plus
- Extensive knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood education, and special education needs
- Experience working with children, including those with disabilities or special needs
- Excellent communication skills to engage children, families, and team members clearly and compassionately
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Writing skills for accurate record keeping and reporting purposes
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
