Responsibilities

- Perform rapid assessments of incoming patients to determine priority levels and immediate needs.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately following established protocols and medical orders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner for documentation, order entry, and communication.
- Monitor patient vital signs, manage pain effectively, and respond swiftly to changes in condition.
- Assist with procedures including phlebotomy, wound care, and laboratory specimen collection.
- Provide education to patients and families about treatment plans, medication use, and discharge instructions.




- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control standards and safety protocols.
- Support case management efforts by coordinating follow-up care and community resources when needed.
- Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology, medication administration, and emergency response procedures.

Experience

- Valid RN license with current registration in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
- Prior hospital experience in emergency or acute care settings is highly preferred.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, seniors, dementia patients, and those requiring home or assisted living care.
- Strong familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and compassion.
- Knowledge of pain management strategies and laboratory procedures like phlebotomy is advantageous.
- Background in nursing home or senior care environments is a plus.
