Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Psychologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to diverse patient populations, including adolescents, adults, couples, and families through both in-person and virtual appointments with special needs. Duties
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for patients across various age groups, including children.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to patients experiencing mental health challenges.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, educators, and families to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in clinical research projects aimed at improving mental health interventions and patient care practices.
- Assist in data collection for ongoing studies related to psychological health and treatment efficacy.
- Stay current with advancements in psychology, medical terminology, and best practices through continuous professional development.
Skills
- Hospital experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with medical environments and patient care protocols.
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze data effectively.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to psychological assessments and treatments.
- Ability to collect, interpret, and utilize data for clinical decision-making.
- Background or training in special education is advantageous for working with children with learning or behavioral challenges.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
