Surge AI seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Agentic Coding RL Environments) for a fully remote contract role. You will build coding RL environments and benchmarks to test agents on realistic software engineering tasks, and review model outputs with an eye for meaningful failures. We welcome experts across major stacks (TypeScript, Python, Ruby, PHP, Java, Rust, Go, or C++).

Solid engineering judgment and independent work are essential. Availability of 20–40+ hours weekly is expected.
