We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer with experience working with shingles and steel roofing materials. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems that ensure durability, safety, and aesthetic appeal. Duties
- Install and repair shingles and steel roofing panels according to project specifications and safety standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions to ensure precise installation
- Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, and measuring devices efficiently to complete roofing tasks
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or injury
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
- Conduct site inspections to assess project progress, identify potential issues, and maintain quality control
- Collaborate with team members, carpenters, and other construction professionals to complete projects on schedule
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools essential for roofing installation and repairs
- Construction experience with a focus on roofing systems, including shingles and steel materials
- Strong carpentry skills for framing, trimming, and finishing work related to roofing projects
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and translate plans into physical work
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing roofs effectively
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and working at heights safely
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various construction tasks
