Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist to lead the development and delivery of advanced analytics, machine learning, and data-driven solutions supporting evidence-based decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, functional experts, Data Architects, ETL Developers, and technical teams to transform complex structured and unstructured data into actionable insights.
The role requires solid hands-on experience with Azure data tools, Databricks, MLflow, Python, machine learning, and LLM frameworks , along with the ability to support inference pipelines, experimentation, evaluation, data preparation, and analytical model development.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience with Azure data tools, including Azure, Databricks, MLflow, and Python.
- Exposure to LLM frameworks such as DSPy, LangChain, Hugging Face, or equivalent.
- Strong familiarity with Python and analytical/machine learning libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, or PyTorch.
- Experience with statistical analysis, modelling, data mining, machine learning, and algorithms.
- Ability to manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume structured and unstructured data.
Key Responsibilities
- Analytics & Business Intelligence
- Lead the development and delivery of functional and ministry-specific analytics to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Produce actionable insights from complex datasets and analytical models.
- Assess current data analytics and reporting capabilities and gather future-state requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve analytics and reporting capabilities.
- Facilitate decision-making and effectively manage client expectations.
- Own the execution of analytics initiatives, including end-to-end reporting and dataset delivery.
- Statistical Modeling & Machine Learning
- Develop robust statistical models and machine learning algorithms to model business scenarios and extract valid inferences.
- Design methods to capture, structure,
transform, and process data for analytical modelling.
- Build accurate, understandable, and unbiased data models.
- Apply analytical methods including statistical analysis, data mining, machine learning, natural language processing, and related disciplines.
- Communicate complex quantitative analysis clearly through meaningful visuals, summaries, and recommendations.
- LLM, Inference & Experimentation Support
- Execute batch inference jobs using Databricks and other environments.
- Monitor inference activities and troubleshoot inference-related issues.
- Log results and escalate model anomalies as required.
- Assist with running DSPy pipelines and loading custom models/configurations.
- Support evaluation runs using internal metrics.
- Track, analyze, and summarize performance metrics for inference experiments.
- Prepare and clean legal text datasets for inference and evaluation.
- Annotate outputs to support error analysis and benchmarking.
- Maintain reproducible scripts and notebooks for inference runs.
- Data Engineering & Solution Development
- Work with functional area experts, Data Architects, ETL Developers, and stakeholders to understand complex business issues.
- Develop appropriate Business Intelligence and analytical solutions.
- Support data extraction, transformation, and load functionality for large relational and multidimensional data stores.
- Manipulate and analyze high-volume data from structured and unstructured sources.
- Develop high-quality interfaces that present information in a meaningful manner to end users.
- Construct complex query statements using appropriate query languages.
- Stakeholder Consulting & Knowledge Transfer
- Provide interpretation, advice, and analytical expertise to client groups and stakeholders.
- Guide stakeholders on transforming analytics into actionable information and proactive insights.
- Participate in documentation, development, testing, and end-user training.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide consulting and relationship management support, including requirements elicitation and solution guidance.
