Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist with 10+ years of experience planning, organizing, managing, and executing testing efforts for complex enterprise applications.

The successful candidate will provide expertise in test strategy, test planning, test case development, test execution, test management, integration testing, UAT, performance testing, AODA compliance testing, and automated testing . The role requires strong experience working across Agile, DevOps, Waterfall, and Cloud environments , with hands-on knowledge of tools and technologies used in large-scale government applications.

Must-Have Skills

- 10+ years of experience in planning, organizing, and implementing testing efforts.
- Extensive experience with test management tools such as Azure DevOps and Micro Focus ALM 12.5.
- Experience creating, reviewing, and executing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Strong experience with functional, non-functional, integration, performance, load, and UAT testing.
- Experience with AODA compliance auditing and remediation.
- Experience working with Agile, DevOps, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud technology.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and structured testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Planning
- Provide advice on testing strategies, test plans, testing tools, and required testing resources.
- Plan and organize testing efforts for large and complex systems.
- Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Define testing scope, approach, schedules, resources, and deliverables.
- Work closely with testing leads, IT leads, project managers, developers, business stakeholders, and project teams.
- Support testing throughout the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance lifecycle.
- Test Execution & Quality Assurance
- Execute functional, non-functional, systems integration, specialized, and user acceptance testing.
- Develop and execute test cases against various application components.
- Perform integration, load, stress, performance, and regression testing.
- Support UAT activities and coordinate with business users.
- Create appropriate test data for technical and business-functional validation.
- Identify, document, investigate, and support resolution of defects and issues.
- Validate application functionality and ensure quality standards are met.
- Test Management & Tools
- Use test management and version-control tools across enterprise environments.
- Work extensively with Azure DevOps and Micro Focus ALM 12.5.




- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and automated test cases where required.
- Utilize data query tools to support test case development and validation.
- Work with automated testing tools and testing frameworks.
- Maintain accurate test documentation, results, defect records, and testing artifacts.
- AODA & Accessibility Testing
- Conduct AODA compliance audits and support remediation activities.
- Perform accessibility testing using tools such as:

- AXE

- WAVE
- Ensure applications comply with applicable accessibility requirements and standards.
- Identify accessibility issues and work with development teams to support remediation.
- Cloud, Agile & DevOps Testing
- Support testing activities within Microsoft Azure Cloud environments.
- Apply Agile and DevOps testing practices throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in Agile delivery activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Integrate testing activities into CI/CD and DevOps processes where applicable.
- Support testing of cloud-based and enterprise applications.
- Enterprise Application & Technical Testing
- Test enterprise and Ministry applications across GUI and non-GUI environments.
- Support testing of legacy and modernized applications.
- Work with mainframe, database, API, web services, and middleware technologies.
- Perform testing across multiple platforms and environments.
- Support testing involving databases, APIs, payment services, and application integrations.

Experience & Skill Set Requirements Testing – 55%

- 10+ years of experience in testing process planning, organization, coordination, and implementation.
- Extensive experience with test management tools, including Azure DevOps and Micro Focus ALM 12.5.
- Experience conducting AODA Compliance Audits and Remediation.
- Strong understanding of testing processes and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments.
- Experience creating, reviewing, and executing:

- Experience with Siebel, including RLSO (Registration Licensing System of Ontario).
