Senior Security Architect to support Ontario Health with security architecture assessments and consultations. The role will focus on reviewing solutions, identifying security risks and gaps, and ensuring projects meet security standards before going live.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct security architecture assessments for projects and applications.
- Review solution and cloud architectures to identify security gaps, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain security architecture standards, patterns, and reference architectures.
- Provide security requirements and recommendations for cloud environments.
- Recommend security controls and solutions to reduce risks.
- Work with technical teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Prepare technical reports and present security recommendations.
- Manage multiple security-related projects and support knowledge transfer.
Must Haves
- 10+ years of experience in IT security and security architecture.
- Strong experience with cloud security and security controls.
- 5 7 years of experience with threat modeling, including STRIDE, PASTA, or MITRE ATT&CK.;
- 5 7 years of experience with cloud and on-premises security architecture and controls.
- Solid understanding of IAM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, PKI, authentication, RBAC, and network security.
- Strong knowledge of NIST and ISO 27001/27002.
- Experience preparing reports and presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- CISSP-ISSAP, CCSP, or GDSA certification.
Nice to Haves
- ArchiMate, TOGAF, SABSA, or Zachman certification.
- Public sector experience.
- Experience working with enterprise-level security architecture.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
